Pour It Forward™ – A Way to Say Thank You

At Soulmate Brewing Company, we believe in honoring
those who protect and serve our communities. Our Pour It Forward™ program
is a heartfelt way to thank the men and women in the military, police,
firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders for their courage,
dedication, and sacrifice.

How Pour It Forward™ Works

Pour It Forward™ lets guests purchase a beer—or several—for our heroes. You can:

  • Leave a note of appreciation or remain anonymous
  • Pre-purchase a meal for a first responder
  • Brighten the day of someone who risks their life for us every day

It’s simple to participate:

  • In person at the brewery
  • Via Venmo — If you include a message, we’ll write it on a Pour It
    Forward™ card     to hand to a first responder.
  • Mail a check – If you would like to send a check please write in the memo section “Pour it Forward’’ If mailing a check we encourage sharing your personalized note of appreciation unless you would like to remain anonymous.  

Pricing:

  • A single beer: $8
  • Multiple beers or meals: Choose any combination to show your support

Your generosity makes a real difference and allows you to say “thank you” in a meaningful way.

Inspired by Friendship & Service

The Pour It Forward™ program and our nonprofit, the Soulmate Foundation Corp., were inspired by the life and legacy of Scott McHugh, Jonathan’s best friend and “male soulmate.”

Scott was:

  • A courageous EMT serving his community
  • A friend to people with disabilities, ensuring everyone could have fun and meaningful connections
  • A source of joy and support to countless lives, including Jonathan’s during a difficult childhood transition

Scott was tragically killed in Iraq in 2004 when his unit, NMCB 14, was struck in a mortar attack. Pour It Forward™ and the Foundation honor his memory by giving back to those who serve us every day.

Raising a Glass to Those Who Serve

The Soulmate Foundation Corp. is a Vermont-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Jonathan and Carol Mogor, creators of Soulmate Brewing Company.

Our mission:

  • Celebrate the bond between service members and their communities
  • Bring comfort, connection, and appreciation to those who protect us
  • Support troops stationed around the country and first responders at home

Jonathan’s own service in the U.S. Navy (1992–1998) gave him a deep appreciation for those who serve. That gratitude, combined with Scott McHugh’s legacy, inspired the Foundation to create programs that honor, uplift, and connect communities with their protectors.
